Come, let me show you the world through my eyes.

I’m Jessica 23yrs young from a small coastal town called Yamba in Northern NSW Australia.

My passion for photography began when my father handed me my first camera when I was 8. My passion for photography then continued when I reached high school and had the opportunity to learn film photography and processing in a dark room. I must say I miss the excitement of placing your sheet of exposed photo paper into the developer, the mystery of what will become, then before your eyes your photo begins to appear. My obsession for capturing life was unstoppable. I can’t seem to set my feet in the ground on one particular aspect of photography as everything in this big world intrigues me; I want to share with people the world through my eyes.

Winning this scholarship will help me build my skills to becoming the photographer I aspire to be. There is a lot to learn about photography and yes I may know a little but in comparison to the famous Jason Edwards, I know nothing. I am an empty sponge waiting to learn his knowledge to grow, to learn, to take amazing photos, to be the photographer I aspire to be.
