My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I tackle every day with my camera at my side and I hope that one day photography will serve as more than simply my passion, but also as my profession. With my art, I strive to express everything from the exotic and extraordinary, to the common and conventional.

I pride my best images on having been caught in the moment -- at just the right time, I was able to compose my perfect shot. I hope my photography brings to the community a portrait of what the world has to offer. I want to tell stories that shock, fulfill, captivate, and educate my audience. I would love to bring empathy and understanding to art, and I can only dream of my work inspiring others to pick up a camera and express themselves through photography too.

This scholarship would grant me the opportunity to not only be inspired, but to grow as both an individual and a photographer. I have an immense desire to both listen and learn from the best. Under the careful guidance of Jason Edwards, I would hope to learn about not only photography, but also the landscapes, cultures, and people of Oman.
