My life in school was full of gaining knowledge and looking after siblings, in other words, it was truly boring. And I was also boring, because I was interested only in books and small walks. They were my best friends. After I have finisched the scool, I decided to study tourism/ The reason of this was my intense to move somewhere out the home and, of course, to meet the world. So, surprisingly, I entered the Lviv State University of Physical Culture in 2011, and this event rapidly changed my lifestyle. As tourism specialty in this university is connected with the physical education, hiking and mountain climbing is also included in our educational programm. And my first backpack was going to be organised at the end of September in 2011. Our aim was to reach the highest top of Lviv region in three days from the Sianky station. The total way was nearly 100 kilometres. You see, I was terrified because it was my first time and I was worrying almost about everything, either important or useless. After the all preparation, trainings and nerves, our group actually arrived by train in the place of start in the late evening. My first tent was set down within flashlight. The night was changed by the morning and we started our tour. We were walking all day through a lot of forests, villages and valleys with only 5-10 minutes breaks. Nothing amused me. In the evening, when we set our tents, I was furious, nervous and tired. And it was not only me to feel in such way. But then I understood why!? It`s all because we, freshmen, simply didn`t get the clue. I understood all the delights of backpacks in the mountains as soon as I have reached the top of the Pikuy mountain (1408 metres) on the second day of walking. The scenery was so marvellous, colorful and spectacular that I hold my breath. The highest top of Lviv region showed me what the real beauty of the nature is. The freedom of the thoughts and the happinnes of ascent were opened to me. After such emotional raise, the descent was so easy and nice that my tiredness bustled away.
Since my first ascent, I can`t live without backpacks. I ascended the highest top of Ukraine, Hoverla (2061 metres) for three times, watching it in all seasons and other two-thousanders of Ukraine, Petros and Pip Ivan. My dream is an expedition to Monblan and Everest. My first mountain experience also taught me that if you want to know person`s charachter, simply take him in the mountains because they make people to show their real inside.
