I’m a 22-year-old Norwegian girl. I’ve always had a passion for photography and travelling. After I graduated highschool I made a choice to travel to Indonesia. I settled down in Bali and I stayed there for many months, learning the Indonesian language, the Balinese Hindu values and how to write Balinese traditional script. I spent my days travelling the island on the motorbike and photographed what Bali was for me.

Unfortunately I could not stay in Bali forever (financial reasons), and found myself seeking out new adventures. I currently reside in Australia were I study business. I decided to study overseas from Norway so that I could combine my university degree with the opportunity to see new places and meet new cultures.

The reason I love photography is that I can capture moments and memories of the places I visit, and share the beauty I see through my eyes with the rest of the world. It has been my biggest passion since I was 14, and I mainly shoot landscapes and travel photography. I always look for details that other people overlook to try to capture the real essence of a place.

For me it would mean the world to win this. I have always had a dream to be able to travel the world and capture its beauty and diversity for a living. I have a huge willingness to learn, and wish to contribute to the society by sharing the beauty of the world, but I also wish to learn how to educate and tell real life stories through my photographs.

I have decided to share my view of one of Bali's famous tourist beaches, Geger beach. Not to show the beauty of it, but to tell a story about those who make a living out of it.
