Crocodile Frenzy

The pictures of the crocodiles were clicked few weeks ago in The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Center for Herpetology situated in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

I had never seen crocodiles up-close before and was truly intrigued by their appearance after visiting the Crocodile Bank. They are majestic beasts with wildness in their sharp piercing eyes. There were hundreds of them lying around, piled on top of each other in large enclosures, a site worth seeing. What captivated my attention even more was that every single crocodile ‘seemed’ to wear a different expression on its face owing to the shape and the curve of their mouth. One appeared to be smirking; another one seemed to be pondering hard and one appeared to be exceptionally gleeful. In the pictures submitted I have tried to capture these surrealistic expressions.

There are two things closest to my heart, photography and travel. I was once working in a reputed firm as Assistant Manager in editorial department. I had it all good position and boss’s appreciation except the most crucial thing, Passion. I gave that up to pursue my photography dream. I have learnt, practiced and matured as a photographer; however, there still lies a long journey ahead. The Travel Scholarships from WorldNomads.com would be a massive leap towards achieving my photography dream. Just the thought of traveling alongside Jason Edwards to The Kingdom of Bhutan fills me with fervor.

Thanks and Warm Regards
