My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

As a humanitarian aid worker, my work takes me to very remote places in the world, often unknown to the general public. I encounter faces and landscapes of an amazing beauty. I usually have to stay on these places for extended periods of time and I realize that while the eye of the photographer gives the aura to the picture combining it with the knowledge of the surrounding lands and communities open the door to incredible stories that only time and trust can unfold. They have often challenged my perception of time, space and identity but also resilience. When I saw this travel Photography Scholarship I did not hesitate a second. I have never taken any photography class always following my instinct, but following Jason Edwards will give me the unique opportunity to go a step further to fulfil my passion for photography and, hopefully bring back from my voyages even better shots and stories to share.
