My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, September 5, 2010 | 5 photos

After having a great summer in 2009 I really didn't fancy the incoming wet season so i decided to leave my job, build a camper van and head north where the whether is much warmer and the grass is a lot greener. The pictures i have entered where taken whilst on my 4 month adventure that started at the southern most tip and ended at the very top.
Everything seems to get more natural and more "wild" the further north you travel up Australia and the more wild it got the more i didn't want to go back to the city life, I think i learnt a lot about myself and nature and i definitely found a new love for wildlife.
so the story line of my pictures is "beautiful Australia"
I plan to finish an entire lap around the rest of Australia when i have saved enough money starting from the bottom and heading west the long way around, this is where Australia really gets good having some of the oldest rain forests in the world teeming with wildlife like crocodiles, snakes, spiders, camels, amazing birds, marsupials and abundant sea life.
The only thing that is greater than my love for photography is my love for wildlife and nature, if it was up to me man would still be living in the wild! well maybe not to that extreme but i can honestly say that there's no better feeling than not knowing what tomorrow will be made of, and one thing i learnt is that feeling happens everyday whilst touring.
I believe that I should be the one to win your competition because I have an absolutely unrivaled need to adventure and that coupled with my love for photography i'm positive will someday make me reach my dream of being a full time photographer.
Thank you

P.S.
I have also supplied a picture of a skull that I discovered whilst hiking and can't seem to work out what sort of animal it belonged too, Is there any chance you could tell me what you think it belonged too? It would be much appreciated.
