Bright lights, everywhere I turn the lights are blinding my eyesight. That's the beauty of Jakarta, you might find that sometimes this city is overrated but it is what I called home. Many would say that Jakarta is not the proper place that you called home, where the most poorest people live in the street. The first time i see them when i was taking a stroll with my friends, there's a boy aged around 8 selling newspaper and his little brother wailing behind him saying "i'm hungry and thirsty..", it was such a heart-wrenching sights to see and you'd have to be blind not to notice them. But other than that, you might find that Jakarta is such a nice place to live in if you don't mind the traffic, noise and pollution. Being lived in Jakarta my whole live you'll learn that millions of people who lived here is hoping to change their future for good. They come from many small cities to Jakarta hoping to achieve their dreams, even those who came from poor family. Eleanor Roosevelt said that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. That being said you'll find that the saying is what you'll find everyday in Jakarta. There's nothing wrong with dream big, you'll just have to keep strong and don't lose hope. That was a sight that you'll see familiar in the street of Jakarta.
