My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Always going with the flow has been how I have lived my life till date. Having studied accountancy and living in a stereotype society, that values an accountancy degree more than anything else, was not enough to deter me from what really appeals to me.
It all began with the purchase of a point-and-shoot camera, learning it's limitations and eventually investing in a crop-sensor dslr body. It's been a voyage of discovery since then. From borrowing books/dvds, watching tutorials on youtube to participating in photo-walks is how my penchant turned into passion!
I provided services to a not-for-profit organization that builds schools in difficult areas of Pakistani, pro-bono, last year and that changed my life! I was later on commissioned by them to visually document some of their schools and that requires me to travel to various parts of Karachi city.
For a self-taught photographer like myself, this scholarship will not only broaden my exposure and repertoire but also grant me an opportunity to learn under the tutelage of an ace photographer! And a launchpad to go full-time.
