Travel bug no longer dormant

I got bit by the travel bug early, I was a kid and my Mom took me to Florida to visit her best girlfriend. They were both divorced young and beautiful, and she had a daughter Bonnie that was close to my age. We visited the Frito Lay factory there, where she worked and let me tell you, eating a potato chip off the conveyor belt warm from cooking is amazing, and leaving with a bag of Doritos the size of my age 6 body left me speechless and grinning.
There were other family trips over the years, Florida again, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil. As I grew older and had friends and boyfriends, I took more trips and traveled anytime I had money in my pocket!, More Florida trips, Mexico, Saratoga NY (Which is more than adorable during Horse Racing season August-Sept), Italy, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Scotland, London, and small villages along the lake district in England and finally Maldives. By this time I got a job that required me to travel to Europe a few times a year, mostly Zurich or Germany so I would now be well aquainted with solo travel. I loved so much going to each airport and browsing the book sections, or foods and snacks. I loved being quiet so no one knew I was American, so I could absorb each experience like a smell or a taste. Getting back to Maldives the first time I saw MaléI was amazed!, We landed there first of course before we boarded what seemed like a ferry boat. The country was springing to life wherever you looked, there were people running all around, carting luggage or people into seaplanes and or boats, there was a small restaurant with open air walls that we got a coke in a glass bottle to drink. It was really super hot, and I dont remember what I was wearing, but I recall sweating my ass off. We boarded the boat, and survived the funes of gasoline for two hours before arriving at the most treasured place I have ever seen. Kuredu Island, with basically one hotel on it. The Island had a long dock which we walked down to check in the lobby. We walked along a small sand path to our hut. It was gorgeous with an outside shower. I will never forget the feeling of showering outside hidden by anyone else's eyes just enjoying the sun, the breeze and the warm water. (Although as an eco resort they only used solar hot water... so warm showers only during the day!).I read 6 books that 14 days, kayaked through the break in the waves, saw a small cat sized shark!,and freaked out walking to dinner past teeny tiny fruit bats that lined the path.
