My Scholarship entry - The Camino de Santiago

My name is Hilda, I'm 26 and live in Sweden. I recently graduated with a diploma in web application development and am working as a freelance web and graphic designer. I guess it goes without saying that I love travel and photography or I wouldn't have applied for this scholarship.
I'd very much appreciate the possibility of being mentored by a photographer like Jason, who is focused on getting the best image straight out of the camera and not in post production. At the moment I think I've hit a plateau in my photography that I can't seem to get off and I think getting hints and tips from a professional at the very moment you're taking your photo would be an immense help in growing as a photographer.
In the future I hope to be able to start shooting professionally. I'm especially interested in nature photography and the way in which it can be used to bring attention to the environmental problems we're facing on earth. A picture's worth a thousand words, after all, and I believe photographs are powerful tools in bringing about change for the environment.
