My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Hong Kong's tall buildings stretch forever into the sky, the neon signs give off a blaze of colour, and the stream of unending people pass by you. You can hear the sound of traffic zooming past, and the smell of a small asian restaurant's food that blends into the scent of the Mcdonalds down the street. You also hear the click of a someone's camera nearby. That's me.
I'm always trying to capture the life that's around me on film. And here in Hong Kong, there are so many opportunities to freeze this city's character for a moment in time. Sometimes I get a fantastic picture which conveys exactly what I had been trying to get. Sometimes I don't. Which is why I'm applying for this scholarship. These photos I've selected are to just give a small glimpse of the beauty and culture found here in Hong Kong.To be able to travel to a beautiful country and to improve my photography would a fantastic opportunity.
