I have been entrap in corporate video for the last 8 years.
Before that I have worked with artist such as Robert Lepage in London and
Quebec City, but was feed-up to pay to work and even have had to get a second
job to help the vision of someone else. I did advertisement for a few years and
still do it, then moved to short fiction, but much frustration on budget and
lack of liberty that comes with it. Documentary then revealed it self to me I
think that documentary have more power to express oneself; you are exposing
more of yourself, your view of the world, you can, if used with what I have
learned doing advertisement: a little clean propaganda can tremendously help
one convey his vision of a better world.
I do have the pleasure to work with passionate people.
Even when I work on Historic, or Natural videos for Parks Canada, I do so in a
very controlled environment where every video is made by committee I think that
an over the board, personal and emotional documentary about the people who are
involved with Cultural and Natural Conservation would do something about it and
help the cause.
