My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

The photos show one of my favourite places in the world, the Villanderer Alm plateau on 2000-2500 m.a.s.l. in the heart of South Tyrol. Here I spent my childhood summers on my granny's hut between cows, horses and lots of nature. I still love this place and spend as much time up there as every summer allows me. Living there formed me, formed in me an enormous love for nature, for the beauty of nature and for the supremeness of ontouched wilderness. Since I was little I walked around in the mountains for hours and hours, forgetting the time, discovering. Still nowadays, I can lose myself in time when climbing up the rocks and then feeling free like a bird when watching the tiny lands beneath me (as you might read out of this, fitness and trekking was never a problem for me).
This particular landscape, but all my travelling I did thanks to my parents, mostly in car or on a sailing boat, tought me to love the life without huge crowds, steady noises, overall technology and 24/7 entertainment. It made me grow into what I am now which is a nature-loving, curious girl.
This place also shaped my eye for the horizon, a limit which is there to be superated so that one can discover what lies beyond it. If I could keep travelling for my entire life, I would. This world is here to be seen. And it's beauty is here to be shown.
