Our Kind of Adventure - Southeast Alaska

My friend Nick and I have a shared passion for travel and adventure, and when we heard about this scholarship we planned a video shoot for the next day. We chose a hike up Petersburg Mountain, one of the more difficult rated hikes near our hometown in Southeast Alaska. We hope you enjoy it!

A little about us: In 2000 I traveled to Italy for World Youth Day, and during Nick's time in the Merchant Marines he visited places like Singapore, Russia and Guam. Since graduating from film school in 2008 (major: video production), I have worked on many personal video projects but am still struggling to turn my passion into a career. Our dream is to travel the world our way – documenting every moment so others can experience the awesomeness with us!

Nick is a natural in front of the camera, and with my background in film-making we're an amazing team. Getting this scholarship would be an incredible opportunity for us to make a career change to one we truly have a passion for, and we are excited to share our adventures if we are given the opportunity to travel to Rio.
