When I travel, I don’t quite know what to expect.
I never realise that perhaps I’ll be milking cows at a family run dairy in Cork or ripping up my ticket to Paris to tag along to a juggling festival with a bunch of circus performers. I had no idea that I would devote one year of my life to a holistic centre in Thailand or that I’d be learning to make pickled asparagus in Canada.
This innate love of adventure, curiosity and desire to know what makes people tick drives me to be on the lookout for the next adventure. Oh and did I mention my insane love of food?
Last year's competition was the first step in dedicating myself to the art of writing about the day to day encounters of life on the road and it is such a joy to be a part of it all again!
I would love to create an awareness of the joy that comes from learning in an unconventional way and inspire people to step out of their comfort zones and give something they've only ever dreamed about a go!
As my mum says, "life ain't no dress rehearsal!"...so have a blast!
