My Scholarship entry - In The Name of Beauty

I have loved photography since childhood, and used to take pictures with my favorite point and shoot camera.
My passion took a better turn 5 years ago when I got my first digital SLR camera and found the hidden beauty and magic in photography. Still, for me the mystery is not over yet, and every day I learn new things about using the DSLR and getting better images. Last April 2014 I took a course in photography for one month, which opened my eyes about the different aspects of photography and made me want to take photos with a particular goal in mind. I would like to highlight through photography the disappearing cultures in my community, starting with fishing and all that is related to it.
Winning the scholarship and being mentored By Jason will help me in achieving better story telling through photography and convey my message.
