Even though the Henna party is for ladies, bride's male members get a chance to congratulate her as well as donning her with decorated strings of money. Showing his appreciation that his daughter is well decorated with Henna, Thuraya's father put around her neck heart shaped notes of money.

Soon Thuraya's feet will be covered with the strong henna paste, starting with the soles where already a yellow stain is leaving its marks, and later her hands will also get their share of the paste. In the next two days the bride will have extra sessions of Henna painting, to get the color as dark red as possible and to add the fine pattern and decoration over the edge of the solid areas .

Following sessions of Henna painting and various types of beauty treatment in the last one week, tonight is Thuraya's big day. She opt to wear a western white dress, her face will be seen by the invited ladies, friends and families, as well as showing off her nicely decorated Henna. (Due to cultural and religious reasons photographing the bride for public view is not permitted, I was allowed to take a picture of the Henna- painted feet, at least the viewers will get a glimpse of the fruit of the seven days beauty treatment).
