A typical traditional Tibetan house set amidst rolling grasslands and a blue blue sky that makes it picture perfect and reinforces why Shangri La is compared to heaven.

This naughty little face has not only the innocence of childhood but also the ancient echoes of the place she belongs to - an endearing combination.

The wrinkles on this woman's face depict a life lived in hard conditions but the serenity of her face shows the comfort that community and religion bring to even the most difficult of lives. The people of Shangri La get together in the main square everyday and dance. It was there that I captured this woman.
