My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

"Be unreasonable". It is in these words I find strength to push my own boundaries only days before the deadline, and try to win what I would otherwise think was unwinable.

I learned what made my photographs fit in, as opposed to standing out was not lack of skill or equipment, but being bound by reasons,logic and rules. Had you asked three days back, I would have said photography is capturing the moment. But I believe that photography is preserving the heart and soul of a moment.

I have been presented with this chance to capture a different culture and to be mentored by one of the best. I put forward my passion and enthusiasm. My goal is simple, to put a smile on peoples face by presenting our unique and diverse world through my lens not restricted by logic, or reason. Pushing my boundaries.

Winning the grand prize would be amazing, but by completing this task I win a little more experience and A LOT more self confidence which is a prize that can never be priced.

Every good picture has a heart, every good picture tells a story. The ability to capture and present and share these fragments of emotion is why I love photography. This is my story.
