About me: My name is Hanno de Swardt. I am 40 years old and currently living in Kuala Lumpur and exploring Asia. I am an architect and fashion designer and am now practising as Interior designer, getting the best out of both my qualifcations. I believe in balance, a healthy lifestyle and a positive approach to life. I enjoy expressing my creativity through photography and often refer to myself as a 'closet photographer'...as I love taking photos, capturing life, but at the same time feeling quite intimidated by my camera and its capabilities or shall I say, my lack of technical skills. I could spend hours trying to capture a moment, a scene, only to realise afterwards that it could have turned out so much better had I known how to manipulate my settings. So, until futher notice I am stuck on Automatic...However, nothing gives me greater joy than to look at life through a lense and if I can change the way others look at whatever caught my attention, so much the better. The photos in my journal is from a lovely weekend spent in Penang, Malaysia. More specifically Georgetown in Penang. An inspiring mix of history, culture and people. Most definitely worth a visit
