These photos were taken on a two week holiday in Bali mid this year. Rather than just do the typical touristy thing, we travelled all over the island, and discovered so many different cultures. The people were my favourite part of the trip, especially the children, so happy and carefree in some parts, and street savvy and cunning in other spots. The photos i have selected to upload attempt to convey the many different aspects of Bali life which i experienced; their spirituality, exotic landscape, connection to the ocean, and the people i met.

I enjoy photography, and studied it at college, as a well as enjoying it as a hobby. I am a university student, and also chose photography as one of my electives this year. I was extremely happy with the work i created, but i am well aware i still have years and years of learning ahead of me. I would love to be given this opportunity to experience the beautiful country of South Africa, while under the mentorship of an experienced photographer. I believe that photography is more than capturing an image, it is about capturing the essence of a place, and evoking emotion in others, who could not be there in person.

I have a keen interest in travel, and in experiencing different cultures, and learning from them. I would love to eventually have a career that would allow me to travel, and see as much of the world as possible. I would be highly appreciative if you would consider my application.
