About hana212
Well hello friend, my name is Hana and I, like yourself, am a world nomad.
Of course everyone will start off by saying that they love to travel, and to be honest, who doesn't? But what makes me, me is the way that I travel.
I get an idea in my head and I roll with it, the sky's the limit in Hana land! I love to seek out the strangest customs and weirdest foods and try them all. I love challenges too.
Going without electricity and hot water in the Amazon, no worries! Eating dog in Cambodia, delicious! (sorry if I offended anyone but it is the truth).
I also love to give back to the communities I visit. Volunteering whilst traveling has really opened up my eyes to new experiences, new friendships and I've gained countless skills such as the ability to adapt to new situations and I can now not only milk a goat, but make cheese and soap out of goats milk too. I've learned the difference between teaching a child to read in Canada and teaching an adult to read in South east Asia. I can tell you the perfect time to harvest an eggplant, and I can successfully eat a bowl of crawfish!
Now, to get down to the normal adult about me section, I am a 22 and 3/4 young lady. I grew up in Australia, I have traveled 10% of the world and counting. I studied interior design and plan to work in the construction industry when I eventually return to Australia.
I've been on the road since October 2011 and will most likely be back in Melbourne in mid November 2013.
I have a loving boyfriend whom I met in Canada and is amazingly from the same area as me in Australia (I can literally walk to his house from mine in 10 minutes). My mother is constantly in fear of every terrible thing that could possibly happen and insists that I skype and message her daily.
The idea that I won't have the internet for a month in Peru may send her into an early grave.
I travel without a phone. This perplexes people, and I don't understand why. I like to get back to basics, shame on everyone for being so attached to their online world. GO OUTSIDE AND LOOK AROUND YOU! *end rant*.
