While on a bus we came across another bus broken down on the side of the road. It was full of locals on their way to town. Our bus driver stopped and asked if it was okay if he and his son got out to help fix the other bus. It amazed me how quick he was to jump to the aid of his fellow bus driver.

Samoans are a very religious people. On Sundays they dress in their whitest whites and go to church. I watched this truck stop by this group of churchgoers and offer them a ride. I loved how they all piled on to the back, in their whites and smiling all the time.

My son and I took a walk through the village we were staying at and it amazed me that at every bus stop there was a bunch of bananas hanging. I found out that these bananas are from someone's tree and are for anyone and everyone waiting for a bus. A great example of generous community living
