My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Vietnam | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
My name is Vu Thi Bich Hong.
I was born in a peasant family in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam. I studied anthropology with graduation in 2009.
One year after university, I decided to buy the camera Canon 40D instead of a motorbike, and I spend all my spare time for taking photos. In photography I am a self-taught person. Of course, I always learned from other photographers, and from their photos.
2012 I made a 27-days-trip by motorbike through Vietnam. I love more to go to secluded places in the rural area than to big cities.
I love photography documenting landscapes, portraits of people and their activities. So, I learn about their culture, and the people become familiar with me through my photos. Above all, I can share my photos and the stories behind them with my family and my friends.
I look forward to my dream to become a professional photographer, to take the best photos from trips around the world and living as a passionate photographer.
I believe that my photos still can be improved, with your support. So I apply for your scholarship, and I send a selection of photos to you.
I believe in self-confidence, passion, personal effort, and the magic of photography will come to me.
