These photos reference the sources of nourishment and life I witnessed in abundance whilst teaching and travelling in Ghana on my gap year. In a country rought with colour, poverty, and the heat of the sun, the importance of daily neccessities of shade, food and most importantly, water, soon become apparent. As a student, I take great pleasure in taking pictures of interesting situations, trying to evoke the feelings of my surroundings. As the heat got to me in Ghana, I tried to place an emphasis on the desperation in the sun, but also the simplicities such as sources of food that can bring such joy and atmosphere to a place. I love travelling and trying new things, at the utmost hoping to taste a little of the life as a local.
