My Scholarship entry - Africa Alive

Kenya | Wednesday, November 12, 2014 | 5 photos

Hi there! My name is Guy Fenton. I am 22 and recently completed my Bachelor of Medical Sciences with first Honours at the University of New South Wales. I have a medical research background. I am passionate about science, the natural world and human health and fitness. I also have teaching experience at UNSW and love communicating and educating others about topics like these, whether it be verbally or through capturing fascinating moments with my photography. Because I have come to love educating others about our world, I have undertaken several courses this year in documentary production and directing, as well as television presenting. These were short courses and I am eager to further develop my training and experience in photography. I feel I should be chosen for this competition because I know I am an extremely hard worker, am very creative and have great potential to develop and master photographic skills. By combining my unique research and teaching background in the biological sciences with my artistic nature, I believe I can produce visually engaging and educational stories through my photography that no-one else can.
