With the subject matter being local encounters, I thought what better than the local encounter that changed my life. My wife!
At this very moment I am in-between jobs, and using my time to plan my future documentary about a hunter-gatherer tribe in Tanzania.
It all started when at the ripe old age of 29 I decided that I should follow my lifelong dream of making films.
Since the age of 15 I had worked in countless jobs, from being a fisherman to working in an office. Now I decided enough was enough, if other people could do it so could I.
So I enrolled in a Film School. At the end of my 3rd semester I got an internship, and after refusing to leave I was hired as an assistant cameraman.
There I was fortunate enough to assist on a National Geographic production, called "Into Iceland's Volcano".
The opportunity this competition offers would be the next great step in a career I am determined to forge myself.
I just wish I had known about this competition earlier (I found out yesterday). If I don't succeed this time, just wait for my entry next year ;)
