My Scholarship entry - Generations of Dimen
China | Sunday, November 23, 2014 | 5 photos
I believe that travelling and exploring new worlds unleashes something in us, something very basic, something grounding. At the same time it lifts our souls, opens our minds and hearts to taking life in whatever shapes and forms it comes and appreciate the little things that make it so precious. I love being thrown in at the deep end. I love the stir a new environment, a new pace and culture can cause in me and I deeply appreciate the human connection that bridges any and all language or cultural barriers. Travel opens us to the beauty of life that we sometimes overlook in our "normal" surrounding. That is what my travel photography is seeking to capture and reflect.
I would be honoured to be chosen for this opportunity. All I have to offer is this genuine appreciation, an open heart and open eyes to the beauty of everyday life, in this case, the relationship between the different generations in a small Chinese village.
