My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Mexico | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

Yesterday when I was taking pictures of rock climbers, I drop my new camera from 15m high, but instead of feeling bad about it, I realized that I'm ready to stop been an amateur photographer and take it to the next step, this is what I want to do in life, my name is Arturo, I'm from Mexico City working as a sales engineer six years ago I started to document my trips, because of my technical background I didnt had any problem learning to use a camera, but of course, I didn't take to long to realize that know using a camera does not mean to take good pictures, since then has been a transition from the logical side to artistic side of me, learn to tell stories with pictures, collecting real, candid and natural moments on the streets has become my passion.

On my application are five photographs taken on a trip to Guanajuato Mexico, an unexpected unlike any other place in the country since the city is built on the mountains, Guanajuato is a city known for it traditions and when a Mexican hear the name of the city immediately think of the Mummy Museum or its musical journey through the streets, so my interest was more for the locals and their common work on the street.
