    I must admit seeing bones used in such a fashion did feel a little eery. These are the remains of real people. I found myself thinking, who were they, what did they do, what would they have thought about having their skulls and bones used to decorate the inside of a chapel. Is this beautiful or horrible is not for me to say, but each of the I was amazed that a building that was built over 1800 years ago could literally take my breath away. Although the intricacy and beauty of this design is often captured from above, I had no idea how amazing these stairs looked from below.
