I must admit seeing bones used in such a fashion did feel a little eery. These are the remains of real people. I found myself thinking, who were they, what did they do, what would they have thought about having their skulls and bones used to decorate the inside of a chapel. Is this beautiful or horrible is not for me to say, but each of the "bones chapels" that I visited definitely had an effect on me and made me ponder my own mortality. NOTE: I would have liked to have included a photo from the Capuchin Crypt in Rome, but photography within this site is strictly prohibited. This photo is from Cappela dos Ossos in Evora, Portugal where photography was allowed.

My name is Craig Griffiths and I am technology worker and I specialise in voice, video and wireless communication systems.  You can find out more about my professional details at au.linkedin.com/in/craiggriffiths/.

I purchased my first SLR after my eldest daughter was born in 2003.  Since then I have taken many beautiful pictures of my family and our adventures together.

I enjoy learning and have been studying ever since I can remember.  I have recently graduated with a Master’s degree and will be starting language classes next year.  I am considering Portuguese, French or Mandarin.  I’m an avid documentary watcher and enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors.

I travel whenever I can and I want to show my daughters the many different landscapes of the world and cultures that live alongside us on this planet.  I enjoy researching and planning the trip almost as much as the trip itself.
