G-bag & the Greek on Tour

Kathmandu and surrounds

There's always a festival going on in Nepal and we arrived during one of the biggest, Dasain. Everything was shut for a few days and most of Kathmandu's residents went back to their villages. A rather unfortunate side effect of this festival is the death of thousands of goats. These poor buggars were tied to a rope which got shorter and shorter as the slaying progressed right in front of their eyes. Walking through Kathmandu this day was all about avoiding the bloody spills and 'goat bits' which littered the street. Not for vegos.
