My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have always had a passion for photography and travel. Combining the two is my idea of utter bliss!
I carry my camera everywhere with me and take any opportunity to capture a photograph.
This year in particular I have tried to test myself and my camera to capture the best images that I possibly can. I have had no formal training, I simply try and try until I come up with something that I love – I end up with a lot of discarded shots!
My favourite Christmas present was ‘The Travel Book’, a book depicting each country in the world with fabulous, striking photographs. I saw it and thought, ‘that is what I want to achieve, that is what I want to do.’ HOW amazing it would be to be able to combine the two things that I love most in the world….
I looked at my new book and was transported to every corner of the world without moving from my sofa. I want to develop my skills so that I can evoke the same emotions in someone else from MY photos.
I would love the chance to learn from the best so that I can be the best photographer that I could possibly be.
