Eco-retirement at the Great Wall

I am Diego Torres, a journalist and an aspiring filmmaker. I’ve just returned from China, where I spent the last five years working as a correspondent, and settled down in Madrid. I speak five languages and I'm able to travel on short notice. I have extensive experience writing travel articles for Spanish-speaking magazines.
I find the 'World Nomads 2015 Travel Film Scholarship' would be a very good fit for me. Firstly, I'm in a labor transition at the moment and open to new challenges. Secondly, I've always wanted to enter the English-speaking media market and this looks like a good opportunity. Lastly, I find extremely interesting the chance to learn video production from an established filmmaker. I have some experience myself in the area of video, I've produced short pieces for Fusion, El Mundo and other media outlets around the world, but I'm very eager to learn from the best.
What I can offer to World Nomads is:
1.- Extensive experience and a relatively established network of contacts in Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
2.- I'm an Spanish native speaker and speak fluent English.
3.- Previous experience as a volunteer in rural areas in Latin-america (I worked six months in Chiapas, Mexico, for a human rights organization).
4.- Mastery of fact-checking and reporting skills.
5.- Knowledge of the basis skills of video production.
6.- Awesome motivation
