About grantduncan
Just a great photo, courtesy of Sebastian Villota
Hello all! You most likely already know me if you're reading this but in case you're new: I'm Grant. I've spent the past two years since getting my BA working full time and now it's time to put some of the money I saved to use, and what better way to use that money than the one I've been dreaming of for years now: a journey through South America. I've been studying the language and culture for quite some time, even majored in it, and now I'm going to make my longtime dream a reality. Nothing too crazy: I figure a three month taster is enough to make it clear whether or not I'm cut out for long term travel. There's a twist to my trip, though, and that's the sort of work I will be doing to kick it off. Through WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) I have connected with an organic farm in Colombia where I will spend the first month of my journey, working, sharing and growing alongside what I imagine are some pretty amazing people.
I have always been laid back, but sometimes I think it's too much for my own good. This trip will put me way out of my comfort zone, and I hope that throwing myself in the deep end of life will help bring out the potential I've let sleep since before I can remember. I may be travelling alone, but I hope to meet many new friends and make connections with not only the people, but also the stunning terrain I will be navegating, backpack on my back and head slowly descending from the clouds to Earth again. Care to join me?
¡Saludos!
