My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Before I left to India I considered faith to be-going to church on Sunday. But what I've discovered was something different. From silk dressed priest performing rituals that date few thousand years ago to ash smeared sadhus that have completely renounced the world, faith in India is something astonishing. Not only in the temples but also on the streets you can see statues of numerous gods, and people adoring them. To put it in pictures, this was my aim, the colors, the people, even the gods, I tried to put it in pictures.
I was very well surprised when one of the pictures won me photo of the year award in Croatians edition of National Geographic. For people like this, and their aging rituals, that's why I want to be a photographer.
