Welcome to Flying Goannas!
I'm Jenny, 50-something and, along with my husband, Stu, I'm making the most of our empty nest and doing some of the travelling that I didn't do in my younger years.
And conquering my fear of heights by climbing bridges and running of mountains. So far, so good.
I started my blog in response to requests from friends to follow us on our 2013 trip to Europe for our 30th Anniversary. It wasn't the greatest idea ever, due to lack of wifi but has evolved a bit since then. And, as I have kept a written diary on many of our trips, I've also been going back and reliving them. It's a lot of fun for me and I hope it is for my readers too.
When we're not travelling, we also like to host others through Be Welcome, Couchsurfing and Warm Showers.
I look forward to sharing some or all of our journeys with you.
