About glutenfreedom
I’m Rachael, a 20-something living in and loving Toronto. At the beginning of 2013 I discovered I have a severe gluten allergy. To be honest, it has been quite challenging and has forced me to make some major lifestyle changes. Although I am no longer able to eat and drink whatever I please, which has affected aspects of my social life, it has allowed GlutenFreedom Toronto come to fruition.
GlutenFreedom seeks to bring individuals living with Celiac, gluten allergies/sensitivities or choosing to live g-free information on where to eat gluten-free in and around the city. This eliminates the fear of accidental consumption and brings back the joy of dining out. I have also made it my mission to speak with each restaurant to determine their kitchen practices when preparing gluten-free dishes, to ensure cross-contact is avoided. GlutenFreedom isn’t just about eating gluten-free, it’s about feeling liberated from the confines of this dietary lifestyle. I hope to bring a little bit of GlutenFreedom into your lives, enjoy!
