My pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Sapin

MEXICO | Tuesday, 3 April 2012 | Views [618]

It will be a year soon. Last april 28th. 2011, my husband, Vicente, my friend Lillian, and I traveled to Spain to walk the 800 km. pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

We started our journey at the beautiful town of Saint Jean Pie de Port, France. We walked across the Pyrinees to enter Spain at the town of Roncesvalles. From there on, we walked 32 days across northern Spain, from east to west, going through beautiful villages, vineyards, wheat fields, rivers, and mountains to finally arrive to Santiago.

We slept in the villages´s albergues specially built for pilgrims. We met a lot of wonderful people from all over the world, and we had the greatest experience.
