Kenya is a very beautiful country with many different attractive ecosystems. The country has over 1100 species of birds. All the big 5 mammals among other wildlife are well represented.
The main problem is rampant deforestation all over the ecosystems which endangers existence of these wild animals and birds.
This scholarship will assist me to publicize conservation activites among differnt communities.
I am a kenyan aged 34. Since January 2010 I was in Mt Kenya forest region conducting research on deforestation using equipments donated to me by Idea Wild - a US based charity, whereby I experienced first hand the uncontrolled deforestation.
