I’m Giao Nguyen, a 21-year-old student from Vietnam.
My no.1 biggest goal is travelling around the world and taking art photos. That's why I’m applying this scholarship. I love photography because I really think that a photo is worth a thousand words. Photos can convey imaginable, emotional and impressive stories that words sometimes cannot.
I’ve just begun to learn photographing, so I hope to know more about skills of taking beautiful photos. It’s my huge chance to accompany Jason Edwards on assignment in Oman. The moment I read about this scholarship, I just pop out: “OH! MY! GOD!”. Yes, this opportunity is EXACTLY what I’m seeking for months. I can’t wait for this!
People know me as the one who can convey deep emotions to others through my words. Besides, the combination between photos and words can even convey more emotional stories. Therefore I have to (and love to) develop my photography skills.
There are billions of impressive moments happening everyday that people are too hurry to enjoy. So through photography I can save those beautiful moments to tell that: “Hey guys, this life still contains a lot of beautiful moments like this, like this, like this…”
