My Scholarship entry - Earning a Living in Nepal
Nepal | Sunday, November 23, 2014 | 5 photos
As a natural creative who has practiced design for several years, I have unveiled the burning ambition to capture life through photography. During my formal design training at NIDA, I began bringing a camera into the rehearsal room and onto sets as an invaluable aid to my own visual design development.
Photography to me is about capturing specific moods at any given time, and to convey this mood to all viewers. My emotions and feelings are greatly moved when seeing an exceptional image that tells an in-depth story, and I strive to portray this too in my photography.
This submission preparation has already focused my pursuit to continuously develop and refine my passion, pushing me to capture amazing stories.
I believe assisting Jason in the field would further enhance my thirst for photographic knowledge and better understanding. I truly see this as an opportunity to listen and observe the surroundings, before even touching the camera.
If accepted for this scholarship, I hope to gain an insight of what it’s like to be on location as a photojournalist, take on the up’s and downs of the experience and to come away with a far better understanding of the role in true reality.
