Hi Jason, my name is Georgina – Novice Photographer and Explorer.
Travelling this wonderful world is my passion, I want to see it, touch it, taste it all before I die. I have ridden the chicken bus, sailed around icebergs, been bitten by wild animals (sea lion, iguana and wombat!), survived the suicide shower and consider hotel rooms a treat! My preference is overland and sailing.
I love how photos are so emotive, how a picture of a lightning storm makes you shiver, a beach can make you sigh. People take information in through a photograph quicker than the written word. People’s reaction’s towards my photos is what motivates me to get better at photography.
Travelling is serious business but now photography is my challenge, I’m just a beginner and have loads to learn. I feel very strongly about trying to get in the right position or light to take a shot, I like to think about it, but then some of my best photos have been about not thinking at all......just turning around.
If I had this opportunity I would certainly use the experience and knowledge to help me gain employment in the industry, to be a travel photographer, it would make me believe I could do that.
