My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is George Georgiou and my passion for photography started when I was 10, and did my first family trip to Cyprus. Capturing memories of our holiday and sharing this joy with family and friends on my return has never left me. I continue to combine my two loves of travel and photography by taking exciting trips each year to experience different cultures, people, their way life and landscapes. I create photo books, to share my discoveries and experiences with family and friends. I want to win this scholarship to take my photography to the next level and make it more a profession than a hobby. Getting any knowledge from Jason Edwards would be priceless. I want to be able to capture images during my trips, when you have only one opportunity for the shot and the lighting is not the best as you have an itinerary and cannot necessarily come back at another time in the day. I like to increase my skills to take a photo and not have to make any adjustments via the computer as this is not what I saw. In the end I want to get my work published to a greater audience. They say the world is a beautiful place, I say it’s an “amazing” place that I want to show others this through my photos.
