For many years I have been photographing as I travel, composing and capturing fleeting moments as the world passes me by. Only recently I began to really question my motives as a photographer. What is it about the photographic medium that drives me to explore a place in a unique way. Being present in a place, talking to the people, understanding the culture and environment all play an essential role in being able to share their stories. I believe it is important to be on both sides of the lens.

At an early age, my family moved to Indonesia. Only ever having previously lived in Melbourne, I instantly became fascinated at the differences in culture and was exposed to all the wonderful sights, sounds and smells. These childhood memories have stayed with me and continue to drive my interest in discovering new places. It gives me an exhilarating feeling when I have the opportunity to experience new environments and I feel privileged to be part of another culture. Having 10 days to in Greenland would be a fantastic chance to build my portfolio and it would be an experience of a life time. I would love to work with Jason Edwards as his expertise and guidance would really help me advance my career as a professional travel photographer.
