Life in the Great Bear Rainforest

Journeying the Great Bear Waters

“Salmon Roe”
I sat quietly on a beautiful estuary riverbank in the Great Bear Rainforest. I was watching a mother grizzly across the river water as she feasted on salmon carcasses with her yearling cub. Looking down at my feet I noticed the salmon eggs scattered across the pebbles. They were brilliant as jewels in the sun. I loved this remnant that hinted at an earlier feast.
