Secret Garden It's a rare site to see such luscious green in the expanse of brick and floating maze that is Venice. I noticed this private garden as I crossed a small back-alley bridge. I couldn't help but smile what with the overpowering growth intermingled with a quiet and quaint branch off the main canal. Like something history forgot.

Gander by Tradition
The gondolas are an integral part of Venetian culture. No matter where I walked - over a bridge, along a canal, sitting by the water's edge, there was a gondolier and his gondola, taking lovebirds or a giddy group of friends drinking up the beautiful sights on their tour. I saw this unmanned gondola and stopped to admire the detail of its craftsmanship. It looked a lonely, but perhaps it was enjoying a break from the pressure it no doubt feels!

Venetian Parlour
On my afternoon walk, I came across this turn of the century dining room. It was so eloquently kept down to the minute detail and the sun shining through gave an ambient feel. Even from the other side of the glass window.
