About gare-and-tone
I am in my fifties and am travelling overseas for the first time in my life. While growing up I always had this urge to discover new places and meet all sorts of different people in their own countries. When you meet tourists in your own country, you often get a incorrect impression of what those people are really like. We tend all to often to label people as 'Oh those Poms!' or 'The French are so rude aren't they?' But when those same people are in their own surroundings with their families and friends, they are open and friendly and relaxed. We would be the same in our own country with what is familiar to us too.
We - my partner and I will be travelling tp the USA on 24th July, landing at Los Angeles CA, going to Disneyland and out to Catalina Island on a catarmaran for a few days with Steve, Gary's brother, then onto Las Vegas (1 night), Grand Canyon (1 full day and 1 night), Santa Fee and Taos in New Mexico for 3 to 4 nights, then will fly to Chicago to meet up with Gary's family, and doing all there is to see and do with what we have our six weeks trip. I know that the time will pass all too soon, and before long we will be back home again, with many new memories to treasure.
I will keep you all posted from start to finish whenever I get the chance to get to a computer.
