My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
South Africa | Friday, January 11, 2013 | 5 photos
I am from Adelaide Australia. I am a dediated naturalist, a keen wildlife observer and amateur photographer, there is no greater joy for me than packing my vehicle with basic essentials and escaping to the Australian wilderness to photograph landscapes, people and wildlife. I have embraced photgraphy recently and have just started to learn the more intiricate methodologies of photography. Being in a wilderness area with my camera is a tool for inspiration. To be able to share moments in time with others in the hope of education regarding the beauty and vulnerability of the natural world is what drives me to get that next favourite shot, to share with others, for them to feel my passion for the natural environment. I hope to gain out of this experience if successful, another life time memory, to travel to a culturally unique destination such as Oman is a once in a life time opportunity, and the opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards in all aspectsof photography is inspiring. My hope is to develop my photography to be able to photograph shots that can make a difference to the protection of a wilderness area or protection of an endangered or threatened animal. That is my passion
